Podcasts

Only the admin user can create or import podcasts. For each podcast that you want to host you will need to register a distinct (sub-)domain. Enter this (sub-)domain into the field Base URL/Website of the edit form. Pods-Blitz will not check if this domain exists and points to your installation (which it must), but you will see a warning message, if two of your podcasts have the same base URL.

Import

If you already have a podcast that you want to import, you can do so with a few simple steps. Click the Import podcast button and then enter the URL of the RSS feed (or any RSS feed belonging to the podcast, if it has several feeds).

Import podcast form This will download the feed and import all podcast and episode meta data into the database. In order to download the audio and image files referenced in the feed, navigate to the list of “Enclosures” and click on the Download all button:

If your feed references transcripts, you can download them to your pods-blitz server in the same manner.

Afterwards, edit the podcast meta data, select the website theme and enter your domain (see above).

As a last step, you have to update the RSS feed:

New podcast

This is as simple as clicking the Add new podcast button and then entering all meta data (like title, description, etc.) in the presented form:

Afterwards you can add your first episode, add an RSS feed and that’s it!
